I’m a 4th year phd student of linguistics and a young researcher at the Center for Experimental, Formal and Theoretical Linguistics at the University of Nova Gorica.

I’m spending the 2026–27 academic year in Boston at MIT’s Department of Linguistics as a Fulbright visiting student.

I got my BA and MA in Italian language and literature and Russian studies at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

My main research interests are in generative syntax, morphophonology and language acquisition. I am mainly working on Slavic and Romance languages. I am a part of the project The behavior of Czech and Slovene clitics at CEFT.

I am also a founder of Grammelot – an online language school, where I teach Italian, Russian and Slovene languages. You are very welcome to join any of the classes!

When I am not researching or teaching, I enjoy playing squash, waking up at 4AM to hike the Alps (as probably most of the Slovenians) and exploring around the Earth.
